restating the obvious

restating the obvious
(Internet research reveals that "tasty cheese" may be an actual cheese in Australia and New Zealand, perhaps similar to cheddar?! Can any Aussie/Kiwi readers clear this up for me?)

Haha! Yes they sell 'Tasty Cheese' as one of the types of standard cheese here in NZ. It's pretty popular actually! I'd say its known as the go-to cheese if you aren't a cheese expert ;)

Hi, just popped in from Jennifer Zalewski's blog. I'm an Aussie living in New Zealand (with a Greyhound!) and Tasty cheese is a mature cheddar cheese and very yummy:) It is tasty. I don't know what the equivalent in the US would be. I'm curious as to what the recipe is for now, lol!

Ah, thanks for clearing that up! The recipe was for an omelet - it was included in the instruction book for my new electric mixer.
